Senegal U17 National team that is taking part in the upcoming African cup of nations, in Tanzania on Wednesday received the national flag at the Ministry of Sports.
In the absence of Sports Minister Matar Ba, his Secretary General Paul Dione handed over the national flag to the team, asking them to keep it high by proudly representing Senegal in that competition. According to Mr Dione, the squad will not be alone in Tanzania because they will have the support of the whole Senegalese nation.
The Captain Mouhamadou Mustapha Diaw, who declared to honored to receive the flag, said his teammates and him were ready to attack. « Our goal is to win this cup, and that will also allow us to qualify for the next world cup» he said, adding that they will work hard to achieve their goal.
Senegal is in group B with Morocco, Cameroon and Guinea, in that competition which will be held from April 14 to April 28, 2019.
