Senegal lionesses on Tuesday defeated their Guinean counterparts 1-0 in their first appearnce at the ongoing WAFU Zone A Women’s Cup hosted by Sierra Leone.
In the other group A match, host country Sierra Leone had a goaless draw with Cape Verde.
On wednesday, group B will start their competition with Mali vs Gambia and Liberia vs Guinea Bissau.
This WAFU tournament will end on 7 March and will serve also a a preparation for the teams involved in the 2020 Women’s AFCON qualifier.
