Russia 2018 World Cup : The lions ready to roar and mark their territory
Senegal and Poland meet on Tuesday afternon as the final two teams to enter the 2018 World Cup clash in Moscow and twenty four hours before the match, Coach Aliou Cisse held his traditional press conference.
The technician said he is happy to participate in the World Cup as coach of a team which he was the captain of 16 years ago. This press conference was also an opportunity to praise African Coaches who, according to him must be treated with respect and consideration because they have the same background as the their non African fellows who are generally coaching African teams.
Talking about the final match of the first round of group fixtures that sees Poland, currently ranked eighth in the FIFA rankings, take on a Senegal side ranked 27th ; Cisse said Senegal has no particular plan to stop key players such as Poland’s main man Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski or Wojciech Szczesny of Juventus but they have a collective plan to beat Poland.
The Captain of the lions Cheikhou Kouyate also believes his teammates and him will have a good result against Poland. According to Kouyaté, they have worked hard during the early World Cup qualifiers and the just ended World Cup preparatory training .
The West Ham’s midfielder reassures Senegal’determination to play this match as if it were a final.
