U20 AFCON: Senegal lost the final to Mali

Senegal U20 squad lost the final of the Afican cup of nations to Mali 3-2 after penalty shoot-out. The teams had a 1-1draw  after extra time. The match which was played in Niamey, the Niger capital was dominated by Mali in the first half, while the second half was dominated by Senegal.

Mali squad took their revenge on Senegal, who beat them 2-0 in the group match, and grasp  the U-20 African Cup of Nations for the first time.

This defeat will be hard to stand by the Senegalese squad that has been the best one in the tournament, and who believed that this final would be the  good, one after losing to Nigeria in 2015 and Zambia in 2017.

Coach Youssouph Dabo boys will do with the remarkable work they have done while waiting to be distinguished in the world cup of their category to be held in Poland in three months. A world cup where they qualified a long with  Mali, South Africa and Nigeria.
